As a curator, I design and facilitate experiences with art. I take an interdisciplinary approach to my work, with a particular focus on the independent performing arts. I am particularly interested in festivals as temporary events where artistic perspectives, aesthetics, people and themes come together, in their capacity to drive innovation in the arts, and in their potential to create open spaces for exchange.

I currently work as a curator and am part of the festival management team for OSTEN – Festival for Art and Mutual Interest – where I develop site-specific programmes for and with the local community in Bitterfeld-Wolfen.

Among other things, this led to the creation of the work Tyrannosaurus Regina by the feminist collective hannsjana, the site-specific exploration “Gebäude 041“ and the work “neubelichtung – an Album for Bitterfeld-Wolfen“by Anke Heelemann, which I curated.

As a curator, I have an interdisciplinary background and experience in the performing and visual arts, as well as in museum work. As part of the curatorial team for Faust. An exhibition, an exhibition on display at the Schiller Museum of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar until November 2027, we have explored Faust – Goethe’s magnum opus – and presented the text and the history of its creation in a historically accurate and aesthetically appealing way for a diverse range of visitors.

As well as events and exhibitions, I have also been involved in publication and book projects. The publication For Art and Mutual Interest. Festival OSTEN seeks to convey the idea and atmosphere of the festival in book form. The book Goethe’s Faust. Messages to the 21st Century is the companion volume to the Weimar exhibition, which explores the exhibition’s key themes in greater depth.

My experience as an artistic production manager enables me not only to develop projects and programmes in terms of content, but also to plan them realistically. In the past, I have staged Marc Sinan’s oratorio MANİFEST(O) as part of the nationwide project ‘Kein Schlussstrich!’ to ensure the victims of the far-right extremist NSU are not forgotten; produced the dance performances Daddy Shot My Rabbit and Sex with Madonna by Chris Jäger; and worked as part of the production team at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin.
