The instal\u00adlation \u201cThe Current\u201d showcased field research by artists, scien\u00adtists, and activists that emerged from the HKW project \u201cMissis\u00adsippi. An Anthro\u00adpocene River\u201d and developed site-specific approaches to the global trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtions of the Anthro\u00adpocene along the river. The Missis\u00adsippi serves as an exemplar of the intert\u00adwining of Earth\u2019s history and human settlement history, as well as of the geosphere, biosphere, and technos\u00adphere. In the face of old and new social and ecolo\u00adgical crises, the instal\u00adlation explores spaces for solidarity-based action and dialogic practices. On display are metho\u00addo\u00adlo\u00adgical experi\u00adments and artistic proposals for a polyphonic practice of working and living in the Anthro\u00adpocene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
