The publi\u00adcation \u201cThe White Man\u2019s House\u2014A Litho\u00adgraph by Johannes Itten (1921)\u201d is an explo\u00adration of the litho\u00adgraph of the same name by Johannes Itten, which he created in 1921. Upon closer inspection, the seemingly simple depiction of a white house composed of cubes in the middle of a garden offers a deep insight into the painter\u2019s inner world\u2014a world in which he was not only committed to the Bauhaus theories of color and form but was also an enthu\u00adsi\u00adastic follower of the racially charged sect Mazdaznan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This publi\u00adcation examines various aspects of the litho\u00adgraph and Itten\u2019s biography through scholarly essays, artistic contri\u00adbu\u00adtions, and histo\u00adrical documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
