As a curator, I design and facilitate experi\u00adences with art. I take an inter\u00addi\u00adsci\u00adplinary approach to my work, with a parti\u00adcular focus on the independent performing arts. I am parti\u00adcu\u00adlarly interested in festivals as temporary events where artistic perspec\u00adtives, aesthetics, people and themes come together, in their capacity to drive innovation in the arts, and in their potential to create open spaces for exchange. <\/span><\/p>\n

I currently work as a curator and am part of the festival management team for OSTEN \u2013 Festival for Art and Mutual Interest<\/a><\/span> \u2013 where I develop site-specific programmes for and with the local community in Bitterfeld-Wolfen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among other things, this led to the creation of the work Tyran\u00adno\u00adsaurus Regina<\/a> by the feminist collective hannsjana, the site-specific explo\u00adration \u201cGeb\u00e4ude 041\u201c and the work \u201cneube\u00adlichtung \u2013 an Album for Bitterfeld-Wolfen\u201c<\/a>by Anke Heelemann, which I curated. <\/p>\n

As a curator, I have an inter\u00addi\u00adsci\u00adplinary background and experience in the performing and visual arts, as well as in museum work. As part of the curatorial team for Faust. An exhibition<\/a><\/span>, an exhibition on display at the Schiller Museum of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar until November 2027, we have explored Faust \u2013 Goethe\u2019s magnum opus \u2013 and presented the text and the history of its creation in a histo\u00adri\u00adcally accurate and aesthe\u00adti\u00adcally appealing way for a diverse range of visitors. <\/span><\/p>\n

As well as events and exhibi\u00adtions, I have also been involved in publi\u00adcation and book projects. The publi\u00adcation For Art and Mutual Interest. Festival OSTEN<\/a><\/span> seeks to convey the idea and atmosphere of the festival in book form. The book Goethe\u2019s Faust. Messages to the 21st Century<\/a><\/span> is the companion volume to the Weimar exhibition, which explores the exhibition\u2019s key themes in greater depth.<\/span><\/p>\n

My experience as an artistic production manager enables me not only to develop projects and programmes in terms of content, but also to plan them reali\u00adsti\u00adcally. In the past, I have staged Marc Sinan\u2019s oratorio MAN\u0130FEST(O)<\/a><\/span> as part of the nationwide project \u2018Kein Schluss\u00adstrich!\u2019 to ensure the victims of the far-right extremist NSU are not forgotten; produced the dance perfor\u00admances Daddy Shot My Rabbit<\/a> <\/span>and Sex with Madonna<\/a><\/span> by Chris J\u00e4ger; and worked as part of the production team at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
